Cesar Tananta ( a traditional curandero shaman ) and his wife Julia work tirelessly in the poor parts of Lima where the "urban Shipibo" live. It is from this couple that we buy most of the seeds that we use in our jewelery.
The seeds are purchased at fair trade prices directly from Cesar and Julia, and the profits benefit them, their family, the urban Shipibo, and their relatives in the Peruvian Amazon, who harvest the seeds by hand and in a sustainable way.
